The photographs of Ecological Images promote the enjoyment of natural history, encourage wildlife conservation and illustrate the diversity and splendour of our environment.

Ecological Images is run by Darren Frost BSc (Hons), CBiol, MIBiol, MIEEM. Darren has a lifelong passion for natural history, many years experience as a wildlife photographer, a professional and academic background in environmental biology and ecology, plus experience in practical nature conservation and field research. A unique combination which differentiates Ecological Images from other wildlife picture libraries and agencies, and which gives Darren a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from when taking photographs of wildlife and environmental subjects.

Darren's work has been recognised in various photographic competitions, most recently as a winner in the 2004 Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough Wildlife Trust Wildlife Photographer of the Year, sponsored by the BBC.

Darren uses Canon equipment for his photography and 35mm analogue (Fujifilm) and digital media to produce his pictures.
