My services include both providing images for environmental publishing and photographic commissions for your specific projects. I also enjoy taking clients for guided nature walks where you can learn more about wildlife and the environment.
Image stocks
If you have environmental photographic publishing requirements, Ecological Images would be pleased to have the opportunity to provide images to meet your requirements. Fees depend on image size, print run, location, etc, but we try to make them reasonable and do not charge search or service fees for genuine picture researchers, design agencies and publishers.
Ecological Images’ photographs cover a wide range of subjects, and you can find examples in the galleries. Please note that these only begin to portray the variety of images in the collection. If you need to illustrate a particular subject but are uncertain of the image to request, then feel free to provide a project brief and we will endeavour to make an appropriate selection.
Likewise, if you have a precise subject in mind we will know immediately if it is present in the collection.

Commissions
Ecological Images accept commissions for photographic assignments and features. While Darren’s main experience is in wildlife and environmental subjects, he has also undertaken a range of photographic work associated with industry, transport and the environment.
He is happy to undertake new creative challenges on location in the UK and overseas. As a freelance photographer working from home with no studio overheads, he is able to offer a competitive daily rate. Depending on the subject, he can sometimes offer copyright-sharing arrangements at a reduced daily rate.
Registered charities and conservation NGOs qualify for discount rates. Darren is comfortable working to a brief, on his own initiative or under the direction of a client representative. Completed commissions can be supplied as digital images, prints, or images scanned to CD, to meet your requirements.
Guided wildlife walks
Darren is happy to share his passion and knowledge of wildlife in the local area around his patch in Needingworth, Cambridgeshire. The main destination is Needingworth Lakes and/or the RSPB Over Fen, Nature Reserve.
His guided walk is ideal for nature lovers who want to explore and learn about the wildlife and people who are curious about the wildlife around them, but who have no particular expertise in the subject.
